The year 2003 began with a series of dreams about eggs. In several hypnagogic experiences, images of eggs would appear and disappear.


In one particular image a large white egg appears flat, bursting with light lines from its center. The lines come out of the egg and come toward me into infinity.

Several pregnancy dreams appear in which I am giving birth to eggs. In one dream I am giving birth to a purple egg. In another dream, I am walking around pregnant and give birth to a huge size white egg

Based on these dreams, I began a series of paintings. "Eggs Dreaming" is the first painting in this series and the other, "Beginning the Dreaming," was inspired by a hypnagogic experience of bursting cosmic eggs.

These dreams are very clear to me as at this time a major transformation is taking place in my life and I am constantly dying from the old and being birthed anew.
